Satellite event: The story of the Glass City’s history

Riihimäki is Glass City. On a tour around the old Riihimäki glass factory are, you will find out why!

We will dive into the everyday life of the historical glass industry and the vibrant glass community in its authentic settings, at the old Riihimäki glass factory. Area has been both the birthplace of internationally known art glass and the largest producer of industrial glass in the Nordic countries. During the tour the story of the glass factory will also be intertwined with the history of the Finland in the 20th century.

The tour is guided by historian Juho Haavisto.
