Setting for Summer – Glassware from Decades Past
May 2—September 14, 2025

Nothing brings back memories like fresh berry juice in a Flora tumbler, strawberry ice cream in a Solaris bowl, or the snug hand fit of Romantica drinkware.

Glassware plays an intimate role in our daily lives and festive occasions. Through life’s important moments, familiar objects become steeped in memories and ever-changing meanings.

The Iittala Glass Museum’s summer exhibition of 2025 brings back fond Finnish memories through nostalgic glassware of yesteryear. Functional glassware manufactured by Iittala, Karhula and Nuutajärvi will be displayed alongside Arabia porcelain, crowned by a selection of art glass from decades past.

The exhibition also presents glass memories collected by the Finnish Glass Museum alongside a display of exquisite  Finnish glass design. If you have a personal story you would like to share with us, please submit it for the museum’s collection!
